SMS marketing

SMS marketing for cafes that shares a customer list with WhatsApp

Not every regular is on WhatsApp. Cafemanagee can send the same order-ready alert, reward reminder or offer by SMS, from a sender name we register for you, using the customer record already on the POS.

Updated

Use SMS where it is the better channel

Order-ready texts are short and time-critical. A win-back offer can go to someone who has not visited, whether or not they installed your app. Because SMS and WhatsApp read the same profile, you are not maintaining two lists that drift apart.

  • Order-ready alerts
  • Stamp and reward reminders
  • Birthday drinks
  • Opt-in broadcasts with a menu link

Set up before the first service

During onboarding we register your SMS sender name and the WhatsApp templates together, so the team is not debugging messages during a Saturday rush.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I have to choose between SMS and WhatsApp?

No. WhatsApp is the default when the customer can receive it. SMS is the fallback, and you can use SMS on its own for alerts that should always arrive as a text.

Where do the phone numbers come from?

From customers who share a number at the till, on the QR flow or in your branded app. Messaging stays limited to people who opted in.

Can SMS include our menu link?

Yes. The live QR menu link can sit in the text so the customer opens the current menu, including anything you have marked sold out.
